An environmentally friendly resort in paradise
In comparison to Seven Mile Beach & Georgetown, West Bay doesn’t have the same volume of food choices, fortunately those that are in the area are superb. From authentic Camanian fish shack, “The Heritage Kitchen” to upmarket Italian fine dining “Papagallos” there is something to suit even the most discerning of palates.
Aside the onsite bar in Vivo, the nearest night out to Lighthouse Point is Macabucca, a ten minute walk up the coastal road. This “Tiki” bar is a popular haunt for locals as well as being well frequented by visitors to the island.
Those looking for a more lively night out are best heading towards Seven Mile with its host of beach bars, sports bars and nightclubs. Be sure to take a taxi number with you for when it’s time to come home.
Grand Cayman is the perfect place to relax, you can find a different beach for every day of the week to recline on. However, if you’re one of those people that prefers to keep active on vacation, there is no shortage of fun to be had. Diving, snorkelling, swimming and paddling are all right on the resort doorstep. Within west bay you can find, kite boarding, pony trekking, sea fishing, cycle routes and more.
Fun days out could include, trips to the blowholes, crystal caves, picnics at starfish point, parasailing, submarine ride, helicopter rides, jet packs and just about every activity on the water you can imagine.
